Dear Friend , As It Is a Pleasurable opertunity I wll endeavor to writ e you a few lines. this leaves me very well. Well Wm. I ha ve taken up a claim five mi. South of Taloga about 120 acre s lays level the rest is rough. it cost me $14.00 to fil e on it and after seven yrs. I Pay for the Land $1.50 Per A cre. thare are no timber on it-I can get all the Post I wa nt by hawling them out of canyons on Gov. Land. Well Wm. h ow is our Girls. thare are few scatern ones out here. I w rote Tom a Letter but did not rec. a answer. I just suppose d he was Married. the Widow has been quite sick they thoug ht she would die fore a while. she taken her a claim that h ad been filed on and the Party had diserted it and she is f iling a contest. I can have my claim six mo. and then com e back again. well I would like to see some of you Folks . I think thare are some very good claims yet thare has be en quite a number of claims filed on this spring. the mos t of the People seam to like this country very well. I wou ld like for some of you Folks to come and see the country t hen you will know more about it then I can tell you. ther e will not be grass here before the 15inst. Tell Tom to co me out here that I can wallow him on O.T. grub. Charlie Mi ller is farming. he lost one of his mares how is Mr. McKin ney and wife I would like to be thare to go on that-excursi on. have you lost the cook yet. I have got to be a cowBo y but I guess i will quit soon. T. It existed from June 17, 189 5 to November 30, 1900. It was names for Samuel L. Park, e arly day resident. William F. Barnard married William Robe rts' sister Mary Jane.
