This site provides information about EMANUEL and related families, specifically of my paternal grandfather Paul Abner EMANUEL and his line through our family "patriarch," Jacob EMANUEL who was born about 1775, most likely in Germany, married Mary KIMBALL, and lived in Virginia and Ohio.

For information on this line (and for my start in Genealogy) I am heavily indebted to my cousin Garvin EMANUEL who did the seminal research on the EMANUEL family in this country. "Uncle" Garvin's research is published in Emanuel: Savoy to America. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of his manuscript, please contact me and I will put him in touch with you.
