Evidently his fath er Thomas Vest evidently married twice,his first wife, prob ably mother of Caleb, her name is unknown. Thomas Vest the n married Elizabeth Cannefax and had additional children. C aleb was born abt 1772 will probated 1 Jan. 1864 Clay Co. I N. His father Thomas Vest probably died between Jan. and Ju ne 1801 in Nelson Co. KY. His wife Elizabeth would later ma rry John Dean. Caleb lived in Shelby & Henry Co. KY., befor e migrating to Clay Co. IN., he married Phoebe Spears 9 Ju n 1803 in Shelby Co. KY., The early records of Clay Co. IN. , were burned so it was hard to find a lot of data. Caleb' s children thought to be, Jonathan, a unknown daughter, Tho mas G., married Ruth Wheeler, Caleb m. Sarah Jane Shirley 1 4 Aug. 1830 in Oldham,KY, Elijah, Sarah who married Charle s A. Lynde on 11 Oct. 1846 Vigo Co. IN., James, Henry B., J oel Jackson m. Ruth McKee 12 Jan `840 Vigo Co. IN, Rhoda m . ?? McBride , Simeon and George who lived in Kentucky. I hope you can give the names of the children of Sarah J.
